Bake Chocolate Cake
What could be better than chocolate
cake, especially one that is this easy to make.
Ingredients:
125g
dark chocolate, broken into pieces
1
tbsp golden syrup
125g
butter
125g
digestive biscuits, coarsely crushed
100g
dried apricots, chopped
100g
golden raisins
100g
glaced cherries, chopped
60g
filberts
Preparation:
- Line a loaf pan with cellophane wrap, leaving enough
to cover over top when pan is full. Set aside.
- In saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate, syrup
and butter, stirring to mix well. Remove from heat.
- Add crushed biscuits, apricots, raisins, cherries
and filberts. Stir well.
- Pour mixture into lined pan and shake to level.
Fold over cellophane to cover top.
- Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, until set.
- To serve, invert onto plate and carefully remove
wrap. Cut into thin slices.
